Frequently Asked Questions - Shipping
How soon can I receive my order?
- We list our current lead time on the shopping cart page. Most orders can be shipped within 4-6 days from order placement. Shipping time depends on the method you choose at checkout (see transit times below). Please allow at least one week from order placement to delivery.
- This lead time can increase significantly from Mid-October to December during the Holiday/Nutcracker season (up to 2 weeks).
- If you have a deadline for receiving your order, please include this information in the "Desired Date of Delivery" box on the payment information page during checkout. To avoid delayed shipments and the best service, please try to place your order several weeks in advance.
- Placing a Rush Order bumps your order ahead to the front of our order queue.
- Simply scroll to the bottom of your shopping cart page and check the box next to "For an additional $30.00 please RUSH the items in my order" and indicate your needed date of delivery in the box below. A $30 Rush Order Fee will be added to your cart and we will expedite the processing of your order.
- We also recommend choosing either Priority Shipping or Next-Day Shipping as your shipping method at Checkout to ensure prompt delivery of your order.
- Note: Rush fees are usually not necessary unless you need your order received in 5 business days or less during the busy Holiday season (October-December). An Example: placing your order on a Monday for items needed that Friday. Please contact us if you are unsure if you need to add a Rush Order fee to your cart.
- We ship the majority of our orders with the United States Postal Service via the following methods:
- USA/Domestic Orders:
- Standard / First Class Mail (3-5 day transit time)
- Priority Mail (2-3 day transit time)
- Next-Day / Priority Mail Express (1-2 day transit time)
- International Orders:
- First Class International (transit time varies by destination)
- Priority International (6-10 day transit time)
- We typically ship orders with a larger physical volume and/or weight via Fedex Ground (3-5 day transit time). Occasionally, we also use Fedex Overnight services on Rush orders.
- All Portable Ballet Barres are shipped via UPS Ground by our supplier. Please provide a street address (not a P.O. Box) when ordering these barres.
- Ballet Gift Shop ships to most locations outside of the United States using USPS First Class International and Priority Mail International. Shipping options will be shown after you've entered in your shipping address. If no shipping options appear on the next screen, then we cannot ship items to your country at this time.

- BalletGiftShop.com will not pay additional fees due to import taxes, customs, etc. outside of shipping costs to international locations. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
- Customized items take at least a few business days to be prepared for shipment. Here's how it works:
- Shipping is automatically calculated (based on weight) prior to submitting your payment information. Simply add items to your cart and proceed to the Checkout page where you will be offered Shipping Method choices and their prices.
- Our shipping providers periodically change shipping prices as their costs change. Our shopping cart automatically updates to reflect these changes.
- In most cases we ship our orders via the method selected by our customers. Sometimes, however, a different method of shipping is faster or more economical and will get the product to you in a similar amount of time. Therefore, we may sometimes ship packages using a different method than selected during checkout.
- The Portable Ballet Barres are only shipped via UPS directly by our supplier. Please provide a street address for barre purchases. Barres cannot be shipped to P.O. box addresses.
